Although Andy loves teaching, he has a limited amount of time for it. He only teaches private one-on-one lessons. This is preferred for establishing an individualized, goal-oriented lesson plan that will help the student progress fast and efficiently.
Students of all levels are welcome (children through adults) including absolute beginners. No prior technical or musical knowledge is required to have a lesson with Andy. Nevertheless, the student is required to have a genuine love for music, an open mind and a desire to improve their abilities on the guitar.
On the bottom you can find basic music sheets that you might find useful.
Welcome to the monthly lesson column!
Over the years I have gathered a lot of concepts that I would like to share. The guitar is a wonderful instrument that can be explored a whole life time.
Hopefully these columns will help you on your journey.
April 2012: The Guitar Matrix: Intervals 1.1 (continued)
This column is a continuation to the introduction of intervals. We will take a look at the intervals on the whole neck and an easy way to find the same note everywhere on the guitar.
March 2012: The Guitar Matrix: Intervals 1.1
Mastering intervals is like mastering construction. If you know how to make a perfect foundation, you can build a house anywhere, i.e. If you master intervals you can play anything over anything (the rhythmic component being excluded).
